Wasted Holidays

It's the holidays and I've been doing absolutely nothing (unless you count brewing potions non-stop on pottermore as something) and wasting my life away. Aside from Geakie I've been cut off from the rest of my social circle c'mon Kar Men since when did you have a circle, more like a splatter of friends.
My life now revolves around these few things: Pottermore, Sims and Fanfiction (writing and reading, mostly reading though, too lazy to lift a finger)

And oh! I've finished watched Game of Thrones (yay me!) and I bought the first two books of the series A Song of Ice and Fire (I didn't buy the box set cuz i'm cheap like that). Game of Thrones is about a lot of things. Gaining of power, war, what people would do to get what they want and a lot of inner struggles for the characters. In the Game of Thrones, one cannot be kind and forgiving or you'll be eaten alive. The writer really puts his characters in a lot of shit and if you're lucky, he'll write off some bad guys but then take out a whole army of good guys.

I got my pottermore email later than most of my friends but I shall not complain for there are others who haven't gotten them yet, and yes, I love the art and everything there well not everything if you count potions waiting time and the fact that dueling is down we can't advance in house points.

Would you like to guess which house I got sorted into? 8D

I'm in Gryffindor!

I always thought I'm a Hufflepuff material. Diligence and Loyalty. That's SO me. But no, the hat put me, Kar Men, into Gryffindor. Anyway, I'm happy to be put in any of the houses, the hat never lies. And besides, Neville who wasn't brave and all got sorted into Gryffindor and through out his years there, his character developed and he's grown to be brave like his fellow Gryffs. The people there are awesome and absolutely friendly. I just wish that pottermore makes a better chat system for us.

Sims has always been predominant in ALL my holidays. There's nothing like shamming sims with Geakie during the hols from dawn to dusk. Really. Join us! 100% fun guaranteed if you enjoy hearing Geakie's desktop growling non-stop and facing her face of stone when she plays

I've been reading lots of fanfiction, reading and rereading. Lately, my favourite pairing is Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Don't judge! I'd read one incredible fanfiction about them and every other fanfic cannot even compare.

So, I got my school results and although others might think recline in horror if they ever got my results BUT I'm quite happy with mine. Since I entered poly I have not been a good student at all. Not even average and I don't have any CCA to back me up.

Well, at least my grades didn't drop. That's good enough for me.

Depressing talk.

Why do I always end on an unhappy note?

Drowning in CAs

I really have to kick that habit of procrastination AND not posting when I really have something to write about. I get super lazy for most of the time and I neglect stuff a lot. The last time I logged into Taylorconnect to post something was like a month or two ago. And I haven't made a graphic since.

I got the urge to write again after reading a Yahoo! article on Singapore's most infamous blogger XiaXue and I really wonder what makes people follow her blog and all. Yes, bloggers like her talk about normal everyday life down to the most controversial stuff or even stuff that people are afraid to talk about. And the thing is, people are not afraid to talk about them but they actually have an image to keep up and they DO care about other people's thoughts.

Really famous bloggers/youtubers (not in Singapore anyway) they are your hardcore Harry Potter fans or your Zelda fans (yes, I'm talking about meekakitty, nanalew…etc). But there's something about them that makes you wanna watch or read their stuff and that is the things we have in common with them. Like when they say something about a character and you totally agree on it and that alone makes you wanna find out if you have anymore things in common. An instantaneous bond.

I really do hope this instantaneous bond thing works for my blog. LOOOL

Regarding the title yes, it's the crazy re-spawning CAs hunting me down again. My HP level can never be full like this.

Oh and I started playing AIKA. All thanks to Jazzy! She's awesome.

Okies, time to level-grind mah CAs. Good luck to me! :3

Oh I think I like younger boys

Mah current obsession. Can't say I ship KFxRob. I just admire their bro-moments *squeals* too cuuuuuuute! Young Justice! Why is the next episode taking so long to make?!?! I want episode 11 NAO.

If you have yet to watch Young Justice quit reading this and well GO AND WATCH IT. Youtube, whatever JUST GO! It's SO good that you'll fall in love with the characters even if you're 17 like me here. And yes if you've watched it, I shake you warmly by the hand. Admit it, you're older than most of them and you still love Kidflash and Robin. Kidflash is the funny guy here and boy, he's so kawaii! *coughs* Sorry. So back to topic, Young Justice centers the 'sidekicks' — don't call them that they'll bash you up so fast that you don't know what hit ya — since the big guys get all the attention supernam, batman, you-know-who no wait, he's from Harry Potter, this is the journey of the young ones.

Now go watch!

I have the teen titans theme stuck in mah head. Shit.

The pretty ones get it all

A person can spend her life blogging and mind you about the most interesting things but never gets online famous. However, an attractive person who just talks about his/her everyday boring routine gets it all.

Where is the fairness in this?

I gave in to Supernatural and fanfictions

Remember that procrastination post that I posted 2 days ago, promising that I'd do work. Heh. I fell to procrastination again. I've been well, erm watching Supernatural and reading sasusaku fanfictions like there's no tomorrow, with this song stuck in my head: Almost Lover. I know it's an old song and well, it makes me emotional and all, a very nice song.

I hate As

I came to realise that I'm not exactly the most committed person. I don't like being stuck on one thing unless that is the one thing that I'm interested in at the moment. Like for say cardmaking or writing that new fanfiction that's bugging me since forever. I finish what I like and put whatever that irritates me away at the bottom of everything. And I never have a specific goal in mind, if there's something that I have to do, I'll finish it but the end results are a mystery. But I'm responsible. I know that I have to finish it and I try my best to.

So I was reading this blog of a business finance graduate from Seattle who just passed with flying colours and of course celebrating it. Happy happy. And I thought about my studies.

Even if I finish this course and if I go to university would anyone want to employ me or would I even stay committed to the media? Maybe I'm better off a business person. Managing sales and stuff like that. I want to do well and attend university and maybe get into a course that really piques my interest but of course I'm such a lazy ass that I don't even have faith anymore. I don't think I can reach that standard and I don't want to work on something that I've no interest in and top of it all requires me to give my input something like scriptwriting especially working on a project that isn't mine and I've no interest in it whatsoever.

It's like I can't be average anymore. Not when university admittance is at stake. Really. Average in polytechnic equals to nope-you're-not-good-enough-for-university.

I know I'm not trying my best, slogging out for that A. Man I really hate this stress for that stupid A.

If death can give me a new chance at life. Bring it on. I'll welcome the reaper anytime.

The Rockstar's brother

"Ino! How can you back out on this? We planned to crash this show for months!"

Haruno Sakura.

19.

And not yet old enough to attend THE only Akatsuki gig held in her city.

"Just 2 more years! Gah! Why wasn't I born earlier?" Ah-hem, yes, you would hear that almost everyday whenever the name Akatsuki came into any of her conversations.

Sakura is what one might describe as a hardcore Akatsukie — note the added 'e' behind — which pretty much equals to a squealing fangirl who adorns herself with the said band's official (only the official stuff, no knock-offs please) merchandise from head to toe.

"I'm one hundred percent sure Itachi's my soulmate. The day where his sexy ebony eyes locks with my enchanting green ones...BAM! He'll be sure to marry me in an instant."

Itachi.

24.

Lead singer of Akatsuki, one of Japan's most famous Visual Kei bands, and the object of affection of many fangirls...and boys.

"Come on! How bad can that tummyache be? The show's starting in thirty minutes!" Sakura took a quick glance at the moving crowd into the arena. She thought about sneaking in pass the security, however those who tried got ratted out instantly. There must be another way in!

"Argh! Fine then! When I really get to meet Itachi you better not regret this! Hmph!"  She slammed her phone shut and dashed out of the queue, heading towards the backdoor where the band goes in.

Aw shucks! There were others there and a security guard...with a gun. What. The. Hell.

Then sudden shouts, screams, squeals echoed from the east gates, which most likely meant that they were out there greeting their fans.

And true enough, that group of girls at the backdoor dashed as though their lives depended on it towards the east gates, leaving the security guard and Sakura — now hidden — alone.

"Stupid fangirls." Sakura heard the guard mutter while he head back into the building.

Here's my chance!

Sakura peered about, looking out for other guards or fangirls before sneaking in.

Gently, Sakura closed the door behind her and took a deep breath.

I'm going to find Itachi and nothing can stop me now.

A smirk graced her cherubic face, thinking about Ino's reaction now if she knew where Sakura was.

Hihi! I write fanfictions and this is of course going to be a hit SasuSaku fanfiction pretty soon. HEHE. Self-praise is not getting you anywhere Kar Men. I got this idea while listening to ke$ha from her unreleased songs collections. I Made Out With A Rockstar. The song is really cute and LOOOL I got the urge to write SasuSaku so yeah. Just that instead of falling for the rockstar, the girl falls for his brother. Awesome idea right?

No, Kar Men I'm pretty sure they've done that before.

4 DAYS

That's how long I've procrastinated for. Or even longer. One week to be exact, since the day I was back from China. But no, I didn't do it. I said Friday and on Friday I said Saturday and so on. Today I said tomorrow. And I can't put it off any longer. Tomorrow, with all my will I shall complete 3/4 of one. I really have no idea on what to do for the other one. I'm seriously hopeless.

I can't stop procrastinating for the life of me.

Jessie J is amazing

I thought she was just another pop singer trying to top the other powerhouses out there already but then I decided to give her some of my time and boy, I was glad I did. Her songs are witty and omg her vocals. Go on, watch this video and you tell me that she can't sing I'll bash you up till you scream like a little girl Jessie has this quality about her that draws you in maybe it's just me but not the way country or soulful music does but her personality and everything else just comes bursting when it comes to her live performances. And I can say that watching her sing her songs is so much better than listening to them on your iPod. Really. This is true performance; no crazy stage sets or dance moves (that's Lady Gaga for you) or changes in clothes and guitars (TAYLOR GO TAYLOR), just Jessie and her vocals.

Yes, Geakie I know you like her too but I don't know why you say she sings like a hippo or maybe that's a typo.

Stop trying to make everything sound like a rap Kar Men.

White Cat by Holly Black

Yes, I'm a little late reviewing on this book (it was out months ago) but this book now is one of my favourites. I'm a fan of Holly Black works from Spiderwick to Tithe; both concerning faeries but of different ends of the spectrum when it comes to the tone and everything else.

This book is not about faeries but it's still set in an alternate world where magic and curseworkers (put it in simple terms: people who are able to work magic) exists however, magic was outlawed long ago that these people turn criminal in order to survive (or they can just lead a normal life like us, never to use their powers for the greater good). I'd put off reading it since I bought it from Kinokuniya so busy with school work no actually I was too lazy and distracted by the internet to read.

Spoiler warning!

In beginning of the book first scene, you find out that the main character just awoke on the roof of a school building after sleepwalking on a cold winter night and that puts on the edge of your seat already. Cassel the main character is a really smart guy (smart here I mean street smart not book smart). He comes from a family of workers but he's not one (no more spoilers for you, but you can already guess). His mum is a con-woman who got into jail for working some rich millionaire (she's an emotion worker, one touch and she can make you love her so much that you'll give her your everything — even your heart).

This book is full of lies, cons and so much curses and the twist (though a little obvious to me) adds so much to this book. I'm now reading Red Glove the second book to this series. If you haven't got White Cat, go get it, if you have it but left it in a dusty cover, go retrieve it and read it NOW!

I'm a Swifty graphic maker

You can say I'm a huge fan of Taylor Swift.
I've only been to her concert once (you can't blame me, I live in Singapore dammit) but that doesn't mean that I'm not a true Swifty. I'd fallen in love with her music and Taylor herself since 5 years ago when Teardrops on my Guitar was out here. The first time I cried when I heard music over the radio. During those days her music was something different from the usual stuff that you'd hear on the radio (lots of RnB at that time) and the lyrics were so true and sincere. So yes I have an account on taylorconnect, which is a wonderful place for Swifties to come together, chat and make projects. And well it was from here I started to make my own signatures (these are 500x200 or smaller graphics that users make so that each time they post they have something nice at the bottom of it). I wasn't into graphic making mostly cuz I was lazy to get photoshop and I wasn't exposed to it much until I entered poly and that was a year ago. And now, I'm proud to say that I can do graphic making! Behold my awesomeness…

Cool huh? I have to thank Jazzy (another fellow blogger but I'll link her tumblog because she's kinda dead on her blog) for teaching me the basics, if not for her I would never have figured out photoshop and  would never make a good graphic EVER. If you wanna see more I you can go to my main blog. I'm still figuring out how to make gifs no actually I'm too lazy to bother about that LOL.

I shall yet again place a link to my taylorconnect account. Pardon the basic links cuz I'm really lazy to make graphics and placing them as links. It might change though in future.

Rotting away at home

I haven't left the house since the day I came back from China, which is Monday and today I went to the mall with my family. I've been tumbling, reading fanfictions, writing fanfictions (actually just working on one and yes it's a sasusaku one), drawing nonsense, surfing the net and trying to loose weight. I have a tumblog, okay no 3 tumblogs because I'm awesome and I shall put links in the sidebar after I finish this post. I started writing fanfictions since um I got introduced to Japanese manga/anime by a close friend of mine (nope she don't have a blog, not that I know of and don't bug me for it). And the very first fanfic was more of a character centric POV of the actual story (how original) and it was for POT (Prince of Tennis). Yes, I ship Ryoma and Sakuno. Don't judge people, don't judge. So yeah I was 13 at that time.

Okay the loosing weight thing. I'm not obese to anything if that's what you think and of course I shall post a picture of myself to prove that soon or you can go to my facebook, which again I'll put in the sidebar later after this post. I'm not at my ideal weight and I wanna look nice in nice clothes. Hehe. I've lost 1.5kg so far since Monday and I'm proud of myself. I shall keep up with my diet and exercise.

So I went to the mall supposedly just to do a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) check up and get my facial wash but then it turned into having lunch there, getting my mum's favourite snack (no kidding, she bought so many that I think the woman at the counter was looking at her weird) and buying new shoes for me. So I got a pair of slippers and 2 floral flats. I hate my cellphone camera (it's only 3mb, how stupid is that). It's crappy and I can't find my compact camera.

And only just last night I remembered that I have this stupid assignment that requires me to update a school private blog that allows the teacher to check if we're updating regularly and it's untouched, for 2/3 of the holidays (this is not even a holiday, they are drowning us in projects and assignments). So now she'll know that my work is rushed and that I'm an irresponsible person.

Okay I'll put the links in the sidebar now.

Life on blogger

Okay I have 5-6 other blogs on blogger and let me explain the purpose of each blog to you.

☆ La Forza Del Destino ☆
The very first blog that I created. I'm a selective perfectionist and I spent days writing in my notebook thinking of names that I can use for this blog (I still have that battered notebook somewhere in my mess) and I drew inspiration from a book series (or rather 'stole' the name from it) called A Series of Unfortunate Events. If you're a fan of this series you should be able to draw relevance from the title of the blog to the description and all. I used to blog about everything and anything that I want. From everyday life pictures to poetry and essays on how people are stupid…etc. But then I entered poly and I know that a lot more critical people are reading my blog so I began to post less, even though my urge to write nonsense about my boring life grew I just couldn't do it. So here begins the existence of my other blogs.

Sweet Corruption
This used to be a private blog only opened to a few trusted friends where I post anything personal and non personal there but I soon got lazy and I really love that blog's name. You may ask why not reuse the blog? Nah, each blog have its story and I shall leave them alone.

シド is LOVE
Geakie and I created this supposedly J-Rock info blog that we swore to update frequently but we got lazy. Heh. Yes I love J-Rock, can't deny that but I love all sorts of music as long as its good music.

white blank page
Formerly known as SHIN-ramen you can still see it from the blog's url (never changing that). Well, this blog is the emotion blog. A place where I vomit my feelings out and curse and swear like a pirate. Not that I won't do it here (be prepared people, my vocabulary of vulgarities is as vast and deep as the ocean). I only told Geakie about this blog but most likely she forgot the url. But that's alright! It's open to all now!

TEAM NOODLE
Another collaboration blog that me and Geakie thought of but never actually posted anything there. It was supposed to be a food blog.

What's wrong with you Kar Men

I've created yet another blog for my nonsense and I assure you this time that I'd be updating more on this one than any others. I have about a total of 5 blogs from blogger and a few from other blogging sites. Yes, I'm quite loyal to blogger (not counting tumblr cuz that's a whole new story altogether). For the longest time I've been playing with the idea of creating a new blog for my nonsensical rants but what really do that now was a video I watched on youtube from Ryan Higa (click on the name if you don't know, shame on you). It was about his new channel HigaTV which will feature more of his nonsensical rants and things that are 'not up to standard' as stated by him. So I thought, the reason for me to not post nonsense stuff on my main blog (the very first blog I made since 4 years ago, yes I'm an old user) could be due to the fact that that blog is watched by classmates, teachers and a lot of other people whom I could say are quick to judge. I can't blame them for that though, I judge people a lot too but I'll always try to put whatever labels that I give them aside and treat them as usual.

So finally I got somethings done and off my chest and hopefully I'll become a famous blogger someday.

Yeah right Kar Men in your dreams.
